Lazy Sunday...

Today was one of those days that none of us did much of anything and I didn't even get out of my pj's or even brush my hair and it was wonderful! We still had a busy day because, of course, Gracie had to be entertained but we decided to just lounge around today because Gracie hasn't felt her best with her teething (of which one of her top back teeth has broken through) and her battle with allergies or a cold or whatever she has had the past few days. I wouldn't even be posting anything except this evening, after making meat loaf with Gracie's help, I had finished up and went into the living room and when I walked back into the kitchen I saw this! The quality of these pictures are horrible but I grabbed the camera as fast as I could and snapped them equally as fast because the child never holds still for long! To give a little more detail...Gracie was playing with her kitchen gadgets in her drawer and as I said before in just the couple of seconds that I was gone she had climbed in the drawer and was sitting comfortably chewing on everything! Never a dull moment!

On a side note, my best friend Jennifer's 3 year old, Ryan, fell off of a 12 foot slide the other day at a campground at King's Island. He had on a swim suit with the floaties in it and this luckily saved his life. He broke his leg in the area of his hip and, therefore, had to be put into a body cast. He is a VERY active 3 year old and for the next 10 weeks he will be on his back in this cast. He is in a lot of pain and doesn't understand why he can't take the cast off,. So, please everyone keep him and my friend in your prayers!!!!!

Gracie's Camping Adventures...

Gracie was so happy to have a friend to ride in the other seat of her wagon!

Cruisin!!!!!

Biker Babes!!!!!!!!!!!

ICE CREAM....Yummy!!!!!

Just chillin by the lake!

You can't really tell from this picture but they were squealing and jumping up and down on the couch.

Gracie all laid back on the boat. She sat back as soon as we put her on like she had been doing it for years!

Roasting my first marshmallow!!! Another yummy sticky mess!

Driving the boat with Captain Papa!!!!!!!

Cooling off a spell in the pool!

Gracie had a GREAT time camping at Beech Fork this past weekend with Grandma Joan, Papa Eddie, Winnie and of course daddy and me! Gracie went full speed from the time she got up until about 9 or 10 at night, with a little nap in between. She really liked having her own bed in the camper AND taking baths in Grandma's camper! She loved being outside all day and got to do lots of new things. In the previous post you saw Gracie riding her new ride, well, she also went on her first boat ride on Papa's boat, got to feed lots of ducks, roasted her first marshmallow, hung out by the camp fire and even got to spend one evening with her best friend Sophie! Sophie and her mommy and daddy joined us one evening and the girls got to make homemade ice cream...loved it of course! The pictures from this weekend say it all, we had a blast and it was even more fun watching Gracie having such a fun time!

Making Uncle Nate Proud!!!!

This past weekend we went camping with Grandma Joan and Papa Eddie and they brought along a new toy for Gracie....A FOURWHEELER!!!!! As I had said in a previous post, Gracie LOVES riding with her daddy on his big fourwheeler so, of course, Grandma & Papa had to buy one for Gracie. Well, as soon as she saw it she loved it! She would ride it around (not steering at all) crash into whatever was in her way and she even pushed it around some. But a few times while I was watching her it was as if Uncle Nate had already taught her some pointers for riding. First, she was trying to climb up a little incline so she leaned forward and rocked it a bit to make it go. Another thing she did (but not much because mommy made her quit) was standing up while riding. So, this post is for Uncle Nate because I think he may just have a new fourwheeling buddy!

Corn on the Cob

So Gracie, like her mommy and daddy, loves corn on the cob. This evening Kev showed her the proper way to hold the ear of corn and she went to town! She would get it flipped back around holding it the wrong way and she would turn it over and over until she figured out the right way again!

On another note, the new daycare is GREAT! Gracie is back to smiling, giggling, and pointing when we pull up and she seems to really enjoy all the kids and the teachers. There are 20 kids in her classroom and most of the kids are almost two or already two but she seems to be holding her own in there. They keep them so busy that she has been pointing to her crib at night to go to sleep!

We also stopped by Gracie's old daycare today to pick up some of her art work and we were glad to see everyone. I really hated to leave Discovery but it was time for a change. WE MISS YOU LYNN and everyone else there!!!!!!!! Gracie was happy to see all of her old teachers and friends!

Beech Fork with Grandma & Grandpa!

Enjoying a snack at the pool!

Feeding the Ducks with Papa!

Throwing rocks in the lake...Grandma taught her to do this in the creek at home!

What a face!

Disappeared again huh! Well, this time I have an excuse...our computer has been down! But back in time for the weekend! This weekend Gracie, Winnie and I went to Beech Fork to spend Saturday with Grandma and Grandpa Knight. They had a wonderful camping spot right on the lake and we had a great day with them. Gracie enjoyed the pool, feeding the ducks and throwing rocks in the lake!

Also, tomorrow is Gracie's first day at yet another daycare! We soooooooo did not like the last one because it ended up that they never took them outside and they also fed them peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for snack one day and Gracie's friend Sophie had a reaction to the peanut butter. DUH...you don't give one year olds peanut butter! So we are off to Fort Hill this go round...lets all pray that it goes well!
